Superman (2025) Character Celebration event happening at Tumblr all year

A few multi-fandom challenges that allows you to pick any fandom, thus write something Supergirl-related for it!

no_true_pair - loosely a mad-libs style low-pressure challenge where you sign up with a list of characters and write for the prompts provided. Prompts will be posted March 16, challenge ends March 31st.

Fresh Femslash Salad Bar - grab some "ingredients" and start writing femslash fics, minimum word count is 100 and is open from February 1-28.

threeisnotacrowd - currently taking nominations for threesome pairings, the exchange signups for it will take place from February 3-7.

svpromptstables is an Arrowverse (*coughs* check out it's multiverse *winks*) & Smallville Prompt table challenge, with prompt tables options ranging from 7-100 prompts. Low stakes, no limit on how much you can "claim" (and anyone can "claim" the same things), only a minimum of 100 words and no deadlines.

Hi guys! It's lovely to meet you all, and I'm hoping to bring a little life in this community again. Thank you again to mekare for letting me adopt the community.

I've been of Supergirl since I first watched Superman: The Animated Series & saw the character (yes the 90s cartoons totally introduced me to many of the DC characters that I still love today). I was happy to discover this community which focused on all the versions of her even if CBS/CW version was a little more prominent. Which I enjoyed immensely.

I have updated the profile for rules & affiliates & interests (basically fleshing it out a bit more).

I also updated the tags to include variety of movies/shows (a couple already existed but I figured I'd showcase them here):

So I already have a plan in place for an event here for the summer, since Supergirl (2026) will be released in June 2026. I hope to do a drabble-a-thon titled "Supergirl Summer", but it'll be for ALL versions of Supergirl, not just the new movie version. A banner has already been made, so I'll probably post about it closer to May or so with more details. If any preferences on the type of drabble-a-thons you like, please comment here with suggestions. I normally like the one where a mod gathers all the prompts & gives you a list on the main post or we could do the kind that you just post comments & people reply to the comments.

Anyway hopefully this year will spark some more interest in Supergirl!

I can post writing prompts once a month if people like as well. Or if anyone has else has ideas! I'd love to hear.

I should have done this a lot earlier and for that I am sorry. My interests have shifted away from DC fandom and Supergirl in particular, so I'd love for someone who is still enthusiastic about these fandoms to take over this community. Please DM me if that is something you'd like to do.

I am going to keep the community open, so everyone can still post, but there will be no active modding from me (as there hasn't been in a long time).

Some of you may already know this, space_swap is running, sign ups start in February and Supergirl (comics as well as TV show) is an eligible fandom! Nominations of fandoms start today at 19:00 EET.

It’s an exchange for space related fandoms and I had great time there last year.

The minimum requirements are:

Fic or meta - 1,000 words
Vid - 1 minute
Art - 1 finished illustration or 2 sketches on unlined paper, 400×400 px
Podfic - 500 words of a new story, written and podficced
Other - Something of equivalent effort to the above

You are, of course, welcome to do more and longer.

This has been mostly written for ages but the latest chapter of history's longest suicide note has been giving me literal actual fits, so I took a look at this guy and finished it up.

A little is enough, and Mon-El can see an arrangement of stars appear in the vastness of space. Those stars are the ones that burn so brightly that everyone in their section of the galaxy can watch them, on display, either dying or burning so bright and hard that no one can survive up close.
